25 years ago professional consulting in healthcare communications was in its early stages in Germany. However it became obvious that the need for such a service would increase in the era of information society. In this context Media Concept entered the market in Cologne, Germany, in November 1990.

Soon the first blue chip client Beiersdorf assigned the agency to launch Cynt (Moxonidin) which became a success story. Numerous other launches followed both in the RX and the OTC market for clients such as Syntex, Roche, Mundipharma, Lilly and almost the total who is who of the German, European and American pharma industry. In the past 25 years more than 100 clients relied on Media Concept’s expertise, but also clinics, patient organisations, publishing houses and public authorities.

The agency has been certified and became a member of GPRA, the association of leading agencies in Germany. Numerous awards reflect the quality standards which have been set and constantly improved over the years. We are especially proud to have been ranked number one in Germany’s only quality ranking study by Professor Josef Hackforth from the Technical University of Munich. In the study 334 German companies were asked to evaluate the service and quality of their agencies. Another award was bestowed by AstraZeneca for the world-wide most successful patient information campaign on prostate cancer.

For many years Media Concept has been the exlusive ARGON partner for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. ARGON is the international association of independent healthcare agencies around the world. Numerous campaigns have been realised in cooperation with our international partners.

Personal continuity has always been a USP. We would not be among the five biggest agencies in Germany without the committment of our team, which has contributed for so many years to this extraordinary success story. It is with pleasure that we express our gratitude to every member of the team, from the beginning until today.

To create and implement successful campaigns has been one of our strengths. But we have always done more and became a trendsetter in the business. And now, after 25 years, Media Concept is about to launch a completely new project. You will read more about it soon.
